2021 is shaping up to be a big year for the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the releases of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder and Spider-Man 3 all hitting the big screen. And when you have blockbuster titles, there are sure to be rumors and Kevin Smith has weighed in on one on the Fatman Beyond podcasts. See his comments below.

“I heard another piece of good f**kn’ news. Did You hear that Spider-Man, the new Spider-Man movie, gonna have a lawyer in it?”       

His co-host, Marc Bernardin, then asked if he meant She-Hulk and Smith responded

Charlie Cox, they’re bringing in as Matt Murdock. That’s been the rumor online and they say that’s like the one that like Marvel’s like god damn it how did that get out?

So while this rumor has been making the rounds on social media for a while (I have been talking about this possibility since they cancelled the Netflix shows), it is interesting to see someone with such a large platform begin to discuss this rumor. We could possibly get some clarity in the coming weeks or months as Spider-Man 3 is gearing up to begin filming in Atlanta in July this year.
