Black Widow has been delayed amid Coronavirus outbreak.

THR is reporting that Black Widow has been delayed from its schedule May 1 release date and Marvel Studios has not settled on a new date. This news seems inevitable at this point as multiple theater chains are debating closing and countries across the globe are banning large gatherings.

RUMOR – Matt Murdock may be Peter Parker’s lawyer in Spider-Man 3

2021 is shaping up to be a big year for the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the releases of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder and Spider-Man 3 all hitting the big screen. And when you have blockbuster titles, there are sure to be rumors and Kevin Smith has weighed in on one on the Fatman Beyond podcasts. See his comments below.

“I heard another piece of good f**kn’ news. Did You hear that Spider-Man, the new Spider-Man movie, gonna have a lawyer in it?”

His co-host, Marc Bernardin, then asked if he meant She-Hulk and Smith responded

Charlie Cox, they’re bringing in as Matt Murdock. That’s been the rumor online and they say that’s like the one that like Marvel’s like god damn it how did that get out?

So while this rumor has been making the rounds on social media for a while (I have been talking about this possibility since they cancelled the Netflix shows), it is interesting to see someone with such a large platform begin to discuss this rumor. We could possibly get some clarity in the coming weeks or months as Spider-Man 3 is gearing up to begin filming in Atlanta in July this year.

What I Learned Last Week in the MCU (2/23/20-2/29/20)

As a lot of you know, I follow MCU news very closely which is one of the ways I am able to piece my theories together. I know everyone doesn’t have the same time or resources to stay on top of all the current news, so these articles will be a weekly collection of the things that I learned the last week regarding the MCU. So here’s what I learned this week.

Disney+ Marvel Cinematic Universe Shows

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier cutting a plot point – Leaks (and the shows production company is Pandemic Productions LLC) suggested one of the main plot points during the first two episodes of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was a global pandemic instigated by a terrorist group. Over the past couple of weeks there have been relatively major reshoots for this show and it seems to be due to the fact Marvel Studios and Disney decided to drop this plot line from the show due to the current corona virus outbreak. (Source –

Battlestar believed to be appearing in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier – first reported by Charles Murphy back in November, new set phots seem to confirm that Battlestar will debut in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. In the comics, when the government replaced Steve Rogers as Captain America with John Walker, they introduced Lemar Hoskins as the new Bucky (eventually he would change his name to Battlestar). While we are not like to get a one to one adaptation of the comics, it does appear that Walker and Hoskins’ will have had a previous relationship (likely during their time in the military) and Walker has asked Hoskins to become his sidekick in the show. Check out the Sebastian Stan’s Instagram post below.

“Cap is Back” propaganda poster from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier – A new leak from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier gives us a glimpse at the propaganda the US government will us for John Walker as Captain America. Check out the image below.

Hawkeye is back on schedule (?) – whew, nailing Hawkeye and when it is going to go into production (therefore when it is going to air) has been tumultuous. When it was first announced, it was to be meant to be released in Fall of 2021 and while this date may or may not have changed (last week Hasbro’s release schedule appeared to confirm Ms. Marvel will air prior to Hawkeye), the show was originally eyeing to begin production in July of this year. Then a few months ago, production on Hawkeye was suspended indefinitely, only then to be announced, a matter of weeks later, that the show would be eyeing a September start date for production. Now it appears things are back on schedule for Hawkeye and the show will actually be filming in July (this is when Ms. Marvel is schedule to film, so we may have a similar situation to The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision’s production schedules). New Loki character descriptions have surfaced – check out the list of supporting character descriptions below. It is believed the “Male Lead” has been cast as Owen Wilson although his role is still unknown. There is not confirmation if the other roles have been cast as of yet. (Source –

Squadron Supreme rumored to be appearing in Loki – With he Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision both wrapping production soon, the next big show up os Loki. Earlier this week, one of the producers on the show was seen in a large comic book store, buying Squadron Supreme trade paperback. While this clearly is not confirmation, people involved in these projects can be good indicators of what to expect. The Squadron Supreme is generally described as Marvel’s version of the Justice League, so if Loki is going to show alternate Earths, it makes sense that the Squadron Supreme would be an alternate Earth’s equivalent to the Avengers. (Source –

Moon Knight aiming to begin production in November – it was previously rumored that Moon Knight would be aiming for an August start date and would be shooting at the Pinewood Studios in the UK. New information now suggests that Moon Knight has been pushed to a November start date and will be filming in Pinewood Studios in Atlanta. A November start date fo0r production likely means the show will release December of 2021 or early 2022. (Source –

Marvel Studios looking for an “Alison Brie-type” for She-Hulk – earlier this week it was reported thatn Marvel Studios was looking for an “Alison Brie-type” actress for the titular role in She-Hulk. After the rumors, Brie was asked about the situation by James Corden and while she said she has spoken to anyone about the role, she does find the prospect of playing Jennifer Walters “interesting”. Check out the clip on YouTube below.

Marvel Cinematic Universe Movies

Tom Holland knows “everything” about Spider-Man 3 – In an interview with Hey U Guys on the red carpet of Onward, Tom Holland revealed that “he knows everything now” after having his pitch meeting with Marvel Studios and Sony about two weeks ago. Check out his comments below.

Wiz Kid set to appear in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings – Daniel Ritchman is reporting that Wiz Kid, a wheelchair bound mutant in the comics, is set to appear in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. While he says he does not know if Wiz Kid will be a mutant in the movie, Kevin Feige is taking clear steps towards introducing the mutants in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Final Black Widow trailer – Since the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron, every Marvel Cinematic Universe released in May has had a final trailer released in March; Avengers: Age of Ultron – March 4, 2015, Captain America: Civil War – March 10, 2016, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – March 1, 2017, Avengers: Infinity War – March 16, 2018, Avengers: Endgame – March 14, 2019. So while there is no confirmed date, it is reasonable to expect the final Black Widow trailer to drop this month.

Sony Universe of Marvel Characters

Sony “had a really, really wonderful idea” to transition Spider-Man out of the MCU – in an promotional interview for Onward, Tom Holland was quoted “…future for Spider-Man was still very bright with Sony and we had a really, really wonderful idea how we could sort of transition into a Spider-Man without the MCU and Tom Rothman and Amy Pascal were really confidant that they were gonna do justice and make a film of the calibre that Spider-Man requires.” While he doesn’t get into specifics, it is nice to know he felt the transition out of the MCU would have been handled gracefully. Check out the interview below.

The movie will primarily be set after the events of Captain America: Civil War but before the events of Avengers: Infinity War although flashbacks should feature prominently throughout the movie. Not only have younger versions of some of the major players been cast but a de-aged Thaddeus Ross can be seen in the first teaser trailer.

My Speculation

– Flashbacks will be prominent in the movie – even though the movie is already a prequel, we will still see multiple extended flashbacks throughout the film. Rumors have placed parts of the movie in 1999 when Romanoff would be 15-16 years old (likely before she was working for S.H.I.E.L.D.), in 2006 when she likely started working for S.H.I.E.L.D. and possibly in 2009 as she is setting up her cover at Stark Industries. A de-aged Thaddeus Ross can be seen in the trailer, so this may be where Natasha and Ross first cross paths on the hunt for the Hulk.
Debunked in final trailer, O-T Fagbenle is thought to be playing Taskmaster. – Melina Vostokoff is Taskmaster – in the comics, Melina Vostokoff is a former Black Widow who becomes disenchanted with the order of assassins as she was jealous of Natasha Romanoff. She wears a flexible metal suit that increases her strength and offers superhuman durability. While Taskmaster has a whole different persona in the comics, I could easily see Marvel Studios taking inspiration from Melina’s comic origins and using them to make her Taskmaster in the MCU.
– Tony Stark is rumored to appear – Robert Downey Jr. is rumored to be reprising his role as Tony Stark. As the movie is set after the events of Civil War and before the events of Infinity War, Downey’s appearance is likely a deleted scene from Civil War where Tony tells Natasha to go on the run.
Natasha Romanoff has been augmented with Super Soldier Serum – in the trailers, Natasha can be seen holding multiple red vials. Many have thought these may be Pym Particles while others have said they are for her Widow’s Bite electroshock weapon but I think that all of the Black Widows have been injected with either a small dose or modified version of the Super Soldier Serum. This would explain some of the feats the Widows are able to pull and could end up being a major plot point in the movie.

What I Learned Last Week (2/16/20 – 2/22/20)

This is a new article I will be doing weekly.

– She-Hulk casting call and plot details – Marvel is currently searching for their Jennifer Walters and are looking for an actress between the ages of 26-34 with “comedic chops”. Her origin and background will largely be adapted as is, with the casting call mentioning that she is a lawyer who receives a blood transfusion from her after being shot from her cousin Bruce Banner, which leads to her gaining similar abilities to her cousin. (Source –

– Isaiah Bradley has a role in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier – Isaiah Bradley, known in the comic books “Black Captain America” is reported to have a role in the upcoming Disney+ show, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Isaiah Bradley is described as followed by Deadline “The fan-favorite throwback character was introduced in 2003 in Marvel Comics limited series Truth: Red, White and Black as a super-powered product of the clandestine experiments on African-America Soldiers. The evocative backstory (depicted with imagery that evoked the infamous, real-world Tuskegee syphilis studies) made Bradley a tragic but noble cultural symbol for African-American heroes in the Marvel Universe.” According to SlashFilm, Bradley will play a significant role in Sam accepting the mantle of Captain America, “The series will be about Falcon initially refusing to take up the mantle as Captain America, but ultimately changing his mind after discovering the secret history of the Super Soldier Program [Project Rebirth] by encountering Bradley, who was actually the ‘original’ Captain America”. Bradley is also the grandfather of Elijah Bradley aka Patriot, the leader of the Younger Avengers, a team  that Marvel Studios is building towards, so the elder Bradley’s introduction in this show sets the stage for Elijah to appear soon. (Source –

– Carl Lumby cast in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier – Earlier this week, news dropped that Carl Lumby has been cast in an undisclosed role in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. It is thought that he will likely play either Sam Wilson’s father or Isaiah Bradley. (Source –

– Daniel Radcliffe not up for the titular role in Moon Knight – Last year, rumors made the rounds that Daniel Radcliffe was being eyed by Marvel Studios for the role of Marc Spector/Moon Knight, unfortunately the actor himself has debunked those rumors. According to Radcliffe “But the Moon Knight rumors are untrue. I can officially debunk that one, I haven’t heard anything about it”. I am unsure how far along in preproduction and casting Moon Knight is and actors have denied roles before ultimately being cast in them but it seems like fan-cast may remain just that. (Source –

– Upcoming Disney+ shows are set to be announced “soon” – I first read about it from Charles Murphy on Murphy’s Multiverse and he reported that we should “soon” find out the premiere dates and possibly some of the upcoming unannounced Disney+ shows. It has since been confirmed that on March 5th, Disney is hosting a special event commemorating the launch of Disney+ in Europe and Marvel Studios will update their Disney+ slate. We could possibly get hard release dates for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (August) and WandaVision (December) as well as soft releases for Loki, What If…?, Hawkeye and if we are lucky the release dates for Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk and Moon Knight. If we get REALLY lucky, we may find out what the two additional unannounced shows are. And if we are REALLY, REALLY lucky we may see 30 second trailers for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision but there is no confirmation on these trailers actually being released on March 5th at this event. (Source –

– Red Hulk is slated for an upcoming appearance – According to Daniel Richtman, Red Hulk will soon be making his debut in the MCU. Many now believe he will show up in the She-Hulk Disney+ show but new rumors suggest that he is being saved for the Thunderbolts project, which many believe will begin with a Disney+ show. (Sources –

– New set photos give us our first look at Jimmy Woo and Monica Rambeau in WandaVision – Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) and Jimmy Woo (Randall Park) are seen having a conversation in S.W.O.R.D attire in these WandaVision set photos.

– Despite delays, Hawkeye is still on target to be released in 2021, along with Ms. Marvel – The New York Toy Fair is going this week and Hasbro has revealed their Marvel plans for the next two years, reaffirming that Hawkeye is still on target for a 2021 release despite recent rumors to the contrary and confirming Ms. Marvel for a 2021 release, possibly before Hawkeye. It has been noted that She-Hulk and Moon Knight are not on Hasbro’s release schedule leading to rumors that these shows will not be released until 2022. While this could be true, there is still a possibility these shows come out in 2021 but with nine Marvel Studios products set to release in 2021, Hasbro may be saving She-Hulk and Moon Knight toy lines for 2022 regardless of when these shows will air.

Marvel Cinematic Universe Movies

– The Eternals Trailer is coming “soon” – Music studio Great Apes has worked on the music for many of the recent MCU trailers and have recently completed work on music for The Eternals trailer. This is great news and means we should be getting the trailer in the coming months and based on Marvel’s past releases of November movies, they often release the first trailer in April (Thor: The Dark World – April 24th, Doctor Strange – April 12th and Thor: Ragnarok – April 10th). So we are still likely a little over a month out from our first look at The Eternals but the first trailer will be here before we know it! (Source –

– Marvel Studios file for the LLC “Warbird Productions II” – Marvel Studios files a LLC for the production of every movie. Captain Marvel’s LLC was “Warbird Productions, and  earlier this week Marvel Studios filed for “Warbird Productions II” LLC, meaning Captain Marvel 2 is officially greenlit. (Source –

– Thor may or may not be in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was supposed to kick off Phase Four of the MCU and it appeared that Vol. 3 would feature the “Asgardians” of the Galaxy as Thor abdicated the Throne to Valkyrie and joined the crew of the Benatar. With James Gunn’s firing and rehiring as director of Vol. 3, the release for the movie has obviously shifted and since it appears the earliest we will get Vol. 3 is 2022 (although I believe we won’t see the movie until 2023), and by then there could be numerous script changes, so we are not sure wether or not Thor has joined or still remains with the crew as his fourth solo outing is the last movie of 2021. At the world premiere for Onward, Christ Pratt was asked why Thor would not appear in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and responded, “How do you know Thor’s not in Guardians 3? We haven’t shot it yet. He might be in Guardians 3. We don’t know, there’s no definitive yes or no on that.” So, Thor may or may not be in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. (Source –

– Cancellation of an upcoming convention appearance fuels speculation Raimi is taking over as director of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness – Sam Raimi was scheduled to appear at Monster Mania Con March 13th-15th but has now cancelled due to filming. While filming for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is not set to begin filming until early May, it would make sense that Raimi for Raimi to already be in London in the middle of March to begin to prepare shooting. So while we still do not have any official word, all of the signs are pointing to Raimi taking over the reigns on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. (Source –

Black Widow promotional art – Over the past week Topps has been releasing character cards that feature new Black Widow promotional art. Check out the cards for Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Taskmaster and Yelena Belova.

Sony Universe of Marvel Character Movies

– Possible solo Mysterio movie – Prior to being named as the villain in Spider-Man: Far From Home, there were rumors that Sony wanted to make a solo movie with Mysterio or a possible team-up with Kraven. Now, it is being reported that Sony wants Jake Gyllenhaal back for a solo Mysterio movie and with characters like Venom, Morbius and Kraven getting their own solo movies, it makes sense that Sony would want to capitalize of the popularity of the Mysterio while setting things up for a possible Sinister Six movie. Other Tidbits

– Elsa Bloodstone almost had a TV show on ABC – Last summer ABC revealed they were in the early stages of producing a Marvel related show as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D final season airs this summer. At the time, there was no confirmation on the character but with Marvel Television now being absorbed into Marvel Studios, the heroine we would have seen on ABC next would have been Elsa Bloodstone. Fortunately, now that Marvel Studios is in charge of the small screen and with movies and shows like Blade and Moon Knight on the way, we still see Elsa Bloodstone sooner rather than later. (Source

War Machine Armor MARK II

The War Machine MARK II armor (temporarily branded the Iron Patriot) was the replacement suit Tony built for James Rhodes after Tony and Rhodey managed to defeat Ivan Vanko/Whiplash at the Battle at Stark Expo. After winning the battle, Tony reclaimed the MARK II, stripped it of all Hammer tech and retired the suit to the Hall of Armors. However, to create a buffer between himself and the US government and focus his attention on the construction of Stark Tower and consulting with S.H.I.E.L.D, Tony decided to build Rhodey a new set of armor. With Tony preoccupied, Rhodey began protecting the world in Iron Man’s place and began taking down various Ten Rings terrorist cells around the world. When the Chitauri invaded New York, Rhodey was called in to assist but was engaged with a Ten Rings cell in Hong Kong. By the time he made it to New York, the fighting was done and the Avengers were enjoying dinner at a local shawarma restaurant.

After several “terrorist” attacks by the Mandarin, the US government and A.I.M rebranded the War Machine MARK II armor, the Iron Patriot. Along with the new name, the armor was given a new paint job, similar to that of Captain America’s color scheme, in an attempt to raise the morale of the American people. As part of Aldrich Killian’s (the founder of A.I.M) plan, Rhodey was removed from the Iron Patriot armor and Eric Savin took control of the suit to kidnap the president. Rhodey and Tony managed to thwart Killian’s plan, reclaiming the Iron Patriot armor in the process. Some time after the Battle on the Norco but prior to the event of Avengers: Age of Ultron, the War Machine MARK II was returned to its original color scheme and name. Rhodey would continue to use this armor for his superhero duties until Tony replaced it with the War Machine MARK III armor, some time before the events of Captain America: Civil War.

As such, the suit did not posses weapons grade Repulsor, had poor energy distribution and was not calibrated for Rhodey. The War Machine MK2 was designed from the start as a military weapon and is noticeably more streamlined. The armor possessed weapons grade level Repulsors, enhanced thrusters and like the MK7, was designed to wrap around its user.

– Standard Iron Man suit systems –  this suit possessed the standard Iron Man suit systems including the J.A.R.V.I.S OS and the propulsion system.

The Eternals

A million years ago the Earth belonged to a tribe of ape-men known as the Wanderers, or Homo erectus the “evolutionary borderline between apes and humans”. One night the tribe witnessed the arrival of ten Celestials, known as the First Host, under the supervision of Gaea. The Celestial known as Gammenon the Gatherer collected the ape-men and sent them to three other Celestials, Ziran the Tester, Nezarr the Calculator and Oneg the Prober. Those sent to the Tester were mutated to have an unstable genome, creating the Deviants(Homo descendus), a race with altering genetic mutations often deformed and hideous; those sent to the Calculator became the Eternals(Homo immortalis), hairless, upright beings with the ability to access cosmic power, who resembled their cousins, Homo sapiens; those who had been sent to the Prober became the aforementioned Homo sapiens and were given a latent gene for the potential of human evolution.

The Eternals lived peacefully on Earth for millennia but eventually broke into two factions, a benevolent and peaceful side led by Kronos and warlike one that sought to rule the planet led by his brother, Uranos. The two sides eventually came to blows in a bitter civil war with Kronos and his followers emerging victorious while Uranos and his followers were exiled to Saturn’s moon, Titan. The remaining Eternals on Earth were led Kronos until his death where his son Zuras was elected to become the Eternals leader in the first Uni-Mind.

All Eternals posses superhuman strength, speed, stamina, durability, agility, and reflexes, the capacity for teleportation, illusion casting, telepathy, flight, transmutation of organic and inorganic matter and the generation of various forms of energy from eyes and hands, including force, heat, light, cosmic and various forms of electromagnetic radiation. An Eternal my devote themselves to specializing in distinct power set, increasing their mastery in one area by decreasing their power in another. Eternals are virtually immune to disease, aging, extreme temperatures, injury and can completely regenerate their entire body if necessary.

One Eternal serves as the Prime Eternal and can generate a blue flame that allows anyone who passes through it t form into a Uni-Mind, a powerful being made of pure energy possessing the collective power of every individual who created it. A Uni-Mind requires at least seven Eternals to be created successfully.

The Deviants are less powerful than the Eternals and all posses a random physical or cosmetic mutation. Few Deviant children survive and when they do, they do not often resemble their parents. Extremely deformed or mutated Deviants are known as “mutates” and many monsters of myth have actually been Deviant mutates. On the other hand, Deviants who did not mutate enough and looked “too human” were often exiled or even killed. The typical Deviant has one or more traits that exceed the human norm, such as life span, strength, durability, intelligence or manifesting a completely new ability. The Deviants are devoutly religious, revering the Dreaming Celestial, whom the Deviants credit with their creation. The Deviants believe the Dreaming Celestial granted them dominion over Earth and that this agreement was treacherously broken by the other Celestials. The Deviants had already developed advanced technology while the humans were still living in caves.

The Deviants should not be confused with Thanos the Mad Titan who suffers from Deviant Syndrome. The Deviants are a race unto their own as are the Eternals, Thanos was born to two Eternal parents but suffered a genetic mutation that led to his purple, hulking appearance. It is not known if only Titanian Eternals or all Eternals posses the mutation as Thanos is the only known individual afflicted with Deviant Syndrome and the Eternals do not often mate.

Below are short bios of the Eternals who are confirmed to appear in Eternals, a couple rumored Eternals, the prominent Deviant, Kro, and a handful of older Eternals who may or may not show up in the movie but inform other characters backstory or potential plot points for Eternals. The following Eternals are confirmed to appear in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie – Ikaris, Sersi, Thena, Gilgamesh, Druig, Ajax, Kingo Sunen, Phastos, Sprite and Makkari; Dane Whiteman/Black Knight has been confirmed as well although he is not an Eternal. Recently, it has been rumored that Eros and Zuras will both have roles in the movie, although they are currently not cast. Kro is a Deviant who is likely to appear in the movie but is unconfirmed at the time. Kronos, Uranos, A’Lars and Sui-San are featured as well although there is nor guarantee they will show up in the Eternals.

Ikaris – Richard Madden

Around 20,000 years old, Ikaris is one of the Polar Eternals and hails from the city of Polaria. The son of Virako and Tulayn, his real name is lost to history. Ikaris chose his name due to a tragic accident hundred of years ago. While fighting Deviants in Greece, the name who would become Ikaris falls in love with a human women and weds her, together bearing a son named Icarus. Icarus loves to soar over the mountains and seas with his father, who eventually builds his son a set of mechanical wings so he may fly too. When his father disappears fighting Deviants, Icarus equips his mechanical wings, setting out to find his father. Inexperienced at solo flight, Icarus flies too high, losing consciousness in the upper atmosphere and crashes back to Earth. Finding his son dead, the Eternal father takes the name, Ikaris, in his fallen son’s memory. After his father, Virako’s death, around 1000 AD, Ikaris’ uncle, Valkin reveals his secret Arctic home, the Pyramid of Winds to Ikaris. In modern times, Druig, Valkin’ son would torture Ikaris for the location of the Pyramid of Winds, with this conflict ending in Druig’s death at the hands of Ikaris. Ikaris and Thena hold a strong dislike for each other and eventually come into conflict when Thena becomes Prime Eternal after the death of Zuras. Ikaris questions Thena’s worth as Prime Eternal, the two face off in the Hall of Eternal Judgement. Ikaris emerges victorious becoming the new Prime Eternal. Ikaris possesses the typical Eternal powers and the abilities of flight by levitation, thought to be the fastest Eternal, low level psychic abilities allowing him to read the thoughts of minds lesser than his own, mentally project illusions, psionically manipulate atoms and molecules changing objects shape, teleportation, project cosmic energy from his eyes and hands that can vaporize solid objects and can be projected as force, heat, light energies.

Thena – Angelina Jolie

Only 4,000 years old, Thena is one of the youngest Eternals but is the eldest daughter of the ruler of the Eternals of Earth, Zuras. Born Azura, Thena received her new name when a pact was struck between the Eternals and the Gods of Olympus. Millennia later, Thena met Kro, Deviant Warlord and ruler of Lemuria. The two became lovers and had a set of twins. At the passing of her father, Thena became the Prime Eternal although she subsequently lost this position to Ikaris in trial by combat. Thena possesses the typical Eternal powers and the abilities to can project cosmic energy from her eyes and hands, flight through levitation, the psionic ability to rearrange the molecular structure of objects, cast illusions, teleportation, is a expertly skilled combatant and highly intelligent and she has learned from the greatest minds of the Eternals and human scholars.

Sersi – Gemma Chan

Sersi is the daughter of the Eternals Helios and Perse, and is likely over 10,000 years old. Unlike the other Eternals, Sersi revels in her humanity and has spent more time amongst humans then all other Eternals, save the Forgotten One/Gilgamesh. She inspired the story of Circe in Homer’s Odyssey, assisted Merlin, spent time in King Arthur Pendragon’s court, Nero’s Rome and Mesopotamia. Sersi was once manipulated into losing her mind by an alternate reality version of the Black Knight named Proctor. Sersi possesses the typical Eternal powers and the abilities to can project cosmic energy from her eyes and hands, flight through levitation, cast illusions, teleportation, her psionic ability to rearrange the molecular structure of objects is far greater than that of any other Eternal, the limits on these powers are yet to be revealed and is a centuries trained dancer thus possessing an extraordinary athletic ability and is proficient martial artist.

Dane Whitman/Black Knight – Kit Harrington

Dane Whitman is not an Eternal, rather he is a brilliant scientist and descendant of Sir Percy of Scandia, whom lived during the reign of King Arthur. Whitman received the Black Knight mantle from his dying uncle, who had tarnished both the Black Knight name and their family legacy. Whitman has multiple stints with the Avengers and eventually crosses paths with the Eternal, Sersi. Whitman and Sersi become engaged in a romantic relationship but this new romance quickly comes under strain as Sersi grows increasingly unstable due to the machinations of a man named Proctor. Ikaris mentally bonds Sersi and Whitman with an Eternal technique known as the “gann josin,” but this does little to stabilize Sersi. Proctor is revealed to be from an alternate universe who was rejected by his universe’s Sersi and had his mind twisted by both the Ebony Blade and the gann josin, this version of Whitman traverses the Multiverse killing every version of Sersi he can find. After this Assembly, Zuras directed the construction of the new Eternal capital city, Olympia, in the mountainous regions of Greece. When the civilization of ancient Greece began to rise, Zeus decided to make the presence of the Olympian gods known so the people would worship them. He aided the government in studying the Celestials and assisted the U.S. State Department in the investigation of a Celestial threat. During the Fourth Celestial host arrival, Zuras attempted to combat the Celestials using the Uni-Mind but a cosmic blast from the Celestials Gammenon and Jemiah, caused the mind meld to disintegrate into the component Eternals but the backlash caused Zuras’ brain to die, although his spirit continued to exist in his body. His body was eventually destroyed freeing Thena but Zuras’ spirit still endures and occasionally appears within Olympia. Eros began to take life more seriously after Thanos first large scale attack on Titan that nearly wiped out the entire population. Eros has spent much of his life alternating between stopping his brother’s rampages and galavanting around the galaxy seeking recreation and pleasurable company. Throughout his adventures, Eros routinely crosses paths with the Avengers and has spent time as a rostered member of the team. After the “Infinity Wars” comic storyline, Eros goes on to form the Dark Guardians. Eros possesses the base powers of all Eternals but as he hails from Titan, he is weaker than his Earthbound cousin Eternals due to his mother Sui-San leaving Earth before Eros’ uncle, Kronos, experimented with the cosmic energy that animates the Eternals. As Eros is half Cosmic Eternal(all Earth Eternals) and half Titanian Eternal, Eros is still effectively immortal but is far from invulnerable and can be injured, although he has a superhuman healing factor. In addition to the base Eternal powers, Eros possesses the ability of pleasure stimulation, allowing him to stimulate the pleasure centers of all beings with in a 25 foot radius of himself. This power, which emanates from him at all times, can be magnified if Eros concentrates, which provokes extreme pleasurable sensations causing a person to become highly aroused, euphoric, or totally sedated, as the case may be.

Eros and Thanos have a custom where once every Eternal year(equal to 1,000 Earth years) convene in a neutral location, often bearing gifts. This ritual is known as The Truce and was initiated years ago by their father A’Lars, who demanded that despite their differences, the two had the same blood running in their veins and needed a reminder.

Kro – Unconfirmed

Kro is a Deviant born over 20,000 years ago as he was alive during the Celestial’s Second Host where the majority of his race was exterminated. Kro possesses a set of traits that appears unique amongst his race, chief among them his longevity and near indestructibility, mirroring the Eternals, and a limited shape shifting factor. Kro has fiercely guarded the secret of his identity among his race, as he feared he would be subjected to genetic experimentation to discover the mutation that gave him his near immortality. Using his powers to change facial features, Kro assumed the role of different Deviants throughout history, often leading the Deviant empire or armies under a different guise.Thena and Kro have a romantic history and share a set of twins and often come to the other’s aid when in peril. Kro is a master strategist and military commander, superb hand to hand combatant and an expert in Deviant weaponry. Kro is nearly indestructible, but this largely due to his healing factor and he can be injured in combat. He has close to three times the physical endurance of human athletes and can press over 800 pounds(most Deviants are not physically stronger than humans although there are many Deviants that posses superhuman strength).

Kronos – Background

Kronos is a first generation Eternal and is the brother of Uranos. Kronos was the leader of a group of Eternals who sought peace with the rest of the world rather than war. This instigated a civil war between the Eternals, with Kronos’ brother, Uranos, leading a warlike side. Kronos emerged victorious, becoming the leader of the Earth Eternals and exiling his brother and followers into space. Kronos became the foremost scientist of the Eternals, eventually experimenting with the Cosmic Energy that animated the Eternals. These experiments led to the Earth Eternals becoming stronger and more hardy than their spacefaring cousins. While Kronos’ experiments with Cosmic Energy led to these advancements, they also led to his “death”. During one of his experiments, he caused an explosion involving Cosmic Energy that destroyed both Titanos, the original Eternal capital city, and blew his atoms apart, although his mind survived the explosion and Kronos became a Cosmic Entity with control over time. Kronos possessed all of the capabilities of the Eternal race but was one of the strongest Eternals as he was from the first generation, with Thanos categorizing him on a power level with Galactus, Zeus and Odin. Kronos also possesses a level of intelligence far past superhuman, high level telepathy skills and cosmic awareness. He is able to exert a certain amount of control over the souls of dead mortals, to the extent of using these souls to animate artificial bodies that he can create from inanimate matter. Once his physical body was destroyed, Kronos became even more powerful and is recognized as a Cosmic Entity capable of controlling the flow of time.

Uranos – Background

Uranos is a first generation Eternal and is the brother of Kronos. Uranos believed that Eternals should use their superior might and powers to conquer the Earth and was opposed by his brother, Kronos. Kronos and Uranos disagreement about the future of the Eternals led to a bitter civil war. Kronos emerged victorious while Uranos and his followers were exiled into space.  Uranos and his followers first landed on Uranus where they found a Kree supply depot guarded by Sentry 213, which they promptly destroyed. At there supply depot, the Uranos and his followers found ships and weapons with which, they planned to use for revenge against Kronos and the remaining Eternals on Earth. Uranos and company were attacked en route to Earth by a Kree armada coming to check on Sentry 213. Uranos and his followers survived the destruction of their ships and landed on Titan. There they settled and formed a society and lived in peace until the Dragon of the Moon eventually incited the survivors into a civil war that killed Uranos and all his followers, save Sui-San.

A’Lars/Mentor – Background

A’Lars, also known as Mentor, is the son of Kronos, brother to Zuras and father to Thanos and Eros. Following the death of their father, Kronos, A’Lars and Zuras held the first Uni-Mind where it was decided Zuras would be the leader of the Earth Eternals. To avoid the fates of their father, Kronos and brother, Uranos, civil war, A’Lars then left Earth and settled on Saturn’s moon, Titan. On Titan, he met Sui-San, the sole survivor of the exiled followers of Uranos. Under the new alias of Mentor, A’Lars and Sui-San repopulated Titan through genetic engineering and cloning, turning Titan into a paradise. Mentor and Sui-Sun had two sons, Thanos and Eros. While Eros grew to be a carefree, fun loving womanizer, Thanos grew to be his opposite, a nihilistic, power hungry warlord and conqueror and would be the downfall of both A’Lars and Titan.

Sui-San is a Titanian Eternal, the wife of A’Lars and mother to Thanos and Eros. Sui-San was the sole survivor of a civil war between the original Eternals who settled Titan. When A’Lars left Earth, he arrived on Titan and met Sui-San. The two repopulated Titan using genetic engineering and cloning. Sui-San bore A’Lars two sons, The Mad Titan, Thanos and adventuring womanizer, Eros.

Sui-San’s relationship with her son Thanos is constantly retconned from one story to another. At times she appears loving and caring for her son, while others she is disgusted by him, his Deviant Syndrome and has tried to kill baby Thanos as she could see the death in his eyes. The circumstances of her death are another matter of contention as in some stories she is killed in his initial assault on Titan and in others, he murders her with his own hands.
